The Goss China Commemorative Army Bottle is based on the area where the men who served at Waterloo were located in barracks on their return. Shown on the bottle is belived to be one of the Oakes Furnaces and has 'Somercotes' as part of the emblem.
This is the crest of Somercotes and the Parish Council will be having its own flag based on the emblem.
