Somercotes Local History Society are holding their first Heritage Day at Somercotes Parish Hall, Nottingham Road, Somercotes on Saturday 13th October 2012 from 10am until 4pm

The day will include Presentations/Talks; Information; Advice; Photographs; Maps; Documents; Photographs for Purchase; Booklets and Leaflets; Copy Maps, etc. for Purchase.

There will be a NEVER BEFORE SEEN!! Somercotes Junior Physical Education 1951 DVD of Somercotes Junior School physical education lesson with Mr Peacock, featuring Phyllis Hodgson, Eileen Tomlinson, John Bowering, Glenda Johnson, Harold Burton, Margaret Fantom and Derek Howe  + many others that will last approximately 30 minutes.

Some of the organisations attending will be Somercotes Local History Society; Alfreton Heritage; The Magic Attic;  Jacksdale Heritage; Derbyshire Ancestral Research Group; Friends of Cromford Canal; Codnor & District History & Heritage; Erewash/Hucknall Heritage; Pinxton & South Normanton Local History Society; Terry Tomlinson and other Organisations
