“An Industrial Corridor Through a Community” Book Launch

Members of the Somercotes Local History Society have completed the National Heritage Lottery Funded book "An Industrial Corridor Through a Community" which charts the industrial history of Somercotes and its Parish. The late Gordon Blackmore, founder of our Society, was instrumental in obtaining Heritage Lottery funding specifically for this project.

The book was launched at our annual Heritage Day on 23 September 2017 and is available from the Society or from the Somercotes Village Hall [next to the Church].
